Statement: The concept & exploration of movement has captured my curiosity over the last decade or so. Dance. Poetry. Social Justice. Planetary orbits. Tides. Light. Sound. Relocation. Daily movement within your confined space is a recommendation I've repeatedly heard from people that have tested positive for Covid19, so there's evidence of a healing property. It’s amazing how all of those things can sort of cook the same dish with different ingredients. These images depict a woman decoding that very language. Liberating herself through movement. She’s familiarized herself with this routine so there’s fluidity in every step. There’s an identity. An identity coated in Blackness. An identity coated in Blackness, moving in infinite space. An identity coated in Blackness, moving in infinite space, without any consideration of time. But time moves too. Forward, always.
